Cordova Safety Products, a division of Bunzl, originated as a regional distributor of hand protection and has developed into a full line supplier of personal protective equipment. Our products and services are now provided to industrial and retail accounts throughout North and South America. We are currently seeking a Branch Accountant to be responsible for various accounting functions, including assisting Finance and Supply Chain department, Accounts Payable, Reconciliations, and performing analysis of variances when necessary.

Responsibilities:
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for corporate reporting
Processing Accounts Payable and Check Runs
Cost Accounting
Bank/cash reconciliation
Commission, rebate, and royalty calculations
Audit inventory transactions
Process payroll reports
Assist in month-end process and corporate reporting
Assist in budgeting process
Prepare state sales/use tax returns, and other taxes reporting
Gather data for monthly and quarterly financial reporting
Intercompany transactions process and reconciliation
General ledger account reconciliations
Assist Accounts Receivable when necessary
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in general Accounting, including Accounts Payable
Experience in the preparation of bank reconciliations, journal entries and month-end financial closings
Strong problem-solving, analytical and investigation skills
Technical skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; Sage 100 experience is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task projects and possess a general knowledge of business principles
Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure with repetitive and tedious work
Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as a team
