Cash Application Specialist

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist based in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for the collection and processing of cash receipts and customer credit applications, maintaining accurate credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Open, batch and post payments and post Lockbox payments into the accounting system.

• Process weekly customer ACH debit payments and retrieve remittances for EFT paying customers, posting payment accordingly.

• Respond to customer requests via phone or email as needed and work with the collections team and other departments on payment discrepancies.

• Perform special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Requirements - Proficiency in Cash Applications

• Ability to manage and maintain Account Balances

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Good problem-solving skills and initiative to improve processes

• Willingness to continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
