    Job Summary:

    Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking to hire a Clinical Laboratory Associate (CLA) 2 for the Vanderbilt Laboratory Services (VLS) Customer Service Center. The Customer Service, Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) 3 is responsible for answering and managing both clinical and anatomical laboratory telephone calls with minimal guidance. The CLA 2 uses laboratory knowledge and customer service to provide timely, clear, an accurate assistance to callers. The CLA 2 uses various software and issue tracking tools to provide information and follow issues until they are resolved.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Answers and manages both clinical and anatomical laboratory telephone calls

    • Provide timely, clear, an accurate customer service to callers

    • Provides advanced clerical support and customer service

    Position Shift

    • VUMC, Vanderbilt Laboratory Services, Customer Service Center, Metrocenter campus located at 445 Great Circle Road, in Nashville, Tennessee (TN), Fulltime, Either 1st or 2nd Shift:

    o 1st shift 6am-2:30pm M-F, every 3rd weekend

    • 1st or 2nd shift based on staffing need, rotating holiday schedule
