  • The claim account manager will operate within significant coverage, reserve and settlement authority. They will develop customer centric claim handling guidelines and service expectations, coordinate and conduct quarterly claim review meetings, and act as the focal relationship manager. Reporting directly to the head of claims, this position requires working collaboratively with other team members such as underwriters, claim adjusters, and TPA customer service representatives, to ensure seamless claim handling and customer satisfaction. The claim account manager will need to demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, including the ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies. Upholding the highest ethical standard and integrity in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders is essential. Staying up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices and claim handling and service is also a key aspect of this role.

    The Role

    • Assist underwriters in acquiring new accounts through claim capability presentations and overall account exposure assessment.

    • Onboard partner third party administrator(s) and new accounts both internally and externally.

    • Act as the liaison between the insured, the claim handling team, the insurance carrier, and broker to solidify claim servicing and problem solving.

    • Conduct stewardship client meetings, assist underwriting in their renewal process, audit claims performance against best practices, and implement value added services.

    • Develop and continuously seek improvement and innovation of the claim handling life cycle.

    • Effectively manage the TPA process from start to finish at the account level.

    • Be responsible for the overall technical, financial, service, and audit performance and results of the partner TPA at the account level.

    The Responsibilities

    • High level experience with significant coverage, reserve and settlement authority, including directing claim investigation and analysis, policy interpretation and coverage determination, negotiation and settlement skills.

    • Experience in developing customer centric claim handling guidelines.

    • Ability to effectively coordinate and conduct quarterly client claim meetings.

    • Strong relationship management skills with a proven history.

    • Proficiency in account acquisition, maintenance and service.

    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent with ten or more years of claims servicing and technical experience.

    • Knowledge at the national level claim regulatory requirements and compliance.

    • Significant experience with claims processing systems.

    • Significant experience in managing TPA's and the TPA claims process.

    • Technical proficiency, including TPA systems, risk management systems, CRM and Microsoft office suite.

    • Strong analytic skills to assess claim information, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve claim handling processes and driving financial results.

    • This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.

    Compensation and Benefits

    Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

    Compensation

    The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $170,000 USD - $190,000 USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
