Collection Associate

Health Advocates Network is hiring a Patient Account Collector (2 Years Exp Req) ! This is a full-time contract position at a nationally recognized hospital located in Lakeland, FL.

• Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

• Shift: Days 8:00 am - 6:30 pm or 8:30 am - 7:00 pm

• Start Date: ASAP

• Contract Length: 15 weeks (contract to hire)

Job Summary: Responsible for the collection of assigned accounts and secures payment according to our guidelines and in compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Act (FDCPA). Provides thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates on computer files for each call made or received. Serves the customers of the Patient Account Center by making outbound telephone calls/received inbound telephone calls with a focus on call quality, FDCPA adherence, call flow, and final disposition of the accounts assigned.

Patient Account Collector Qualification and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Minimum of two (2) years customer collections experience in Healthcare Industry preferred

• Knowledge of FDCPA regulations preferred

• FDCPA Certification preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Ability to persuade and negotiate a resolution to patient's account balance.

• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications.
