Collections/Billing Specialist

Description

Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in collections and billing? Robert Half is currently seeking a Collections/Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes while effectively managing collections efforts. Join us and contribute your expertise to support the financial operations of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections.

• Generate and send invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.

• Contact clients via phone, email, or mail to resolve billing issues and collect overdue payments.

• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with clients as needed.

• Document all collections activities and maintain organized records of communications with clients.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to address billing inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in collections and billing roles required.

• Strong understanding of billing and collections processes and best practices.

• Proficiency in billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, FreshBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

• Experience in customer service or account management is advantageous.
