Shift: Shift 1

Work Schedule: 6 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 1:00:00 PM)

Summary:

Job Summary: : The Courier is responsible for pickup, transport and delivery of pharmacy prescriptions and supply items. The ability to show tracking and accountability is integral.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's (Illinois) license.

• Employee has automobile liability insurance

• Must have a prior driving record deemed acceptable to Rush based upon the results of a Motor Vehicle Report check conducted by Human Resources.

Preferred Experience: High school diploma or general education degree; one to three months related experience and/or training;

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Operate motor vehicle safely in all types of weather and road conditions.

2. Ensure pharmacy pick-ups and deliveries are handled according to pharmacy-approved policies and procedures within scheduled time frames.

3. Deliver supplies and correspondence in a safe, confidential and timely manner. Appropriately files all tracking documents.

4. Act as a liaison between the customer and pharmacy personnel.

5. Communicate with clients in a customer-friendly manner.

6. Use delivery management software accurately and effectively to make accurate and timely deliveries.
