    Job Summary:

    This position will work with the Account team for onboarding and maintenance of Trane customer accounts. Collection of data and resolving open issues is important to timely creation and transacting with customers correctly. Avoid any duplicate records and to resolve data necessary to allow for proper process to flow and continue.

    This position is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Applicants must currently reside in the La Crosse area in order to be considered, as internships require year-round availability while attending school full time. This is an anticipated 1-year assignment with the possibility to continue until graduation. Hours are flexible, but students must be able to work 20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours/week during summer and breaks. Workdays are flexible to accommodate student schedules within normal business hours.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and review Commercial HVAC customer master data as part of second level review to avoid creating duplicate customer accounts.

    • Trouble-shoot Commercial HVAC customer accounts and manage tickets to resolution.

    • Participate as additional support capacity for customer data enrichment for the Commercial HVAC business.

    • Document systematic gaps in data and processes and work with Commercial HVAC Customer Account Process Owners to establish improvement plans.

    • Report weekly/monthly metrics from multiple systems related to Commercial HVAC customer accounts.

    • Help create, develop, and implement processes throughout the internship to ensure team efficiency.

    • Participate in development, documenting, and monitoring of standard work for Commercial HVAC customer accounts.

    • Assist in training and learning materials to expand the knowledge base around customer account setup and maintenance amongst Commercial HVAC sales and fulfillment teams.

    • Work with cross-functional teams to understand the connection and influence of multiple customer account systems such as Oracle and Salesforce with partner order entry and management systems.

    • Interact with internal and external customers, which requires varying forms of communication.

    Qualifications:

    • Junior, full-time student status in a 4-year program with a business major required. Senior status may be considered in 2- or 4-year institution.

    • Must be PC literate and proficient with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

    • Must be detail conscious and organized.

    • Responsible, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment.

    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with team personnel, Trane Commercial offices, business units, and Trane customers.

    • Ability to effectively communicate decisions.

    • Basic math skills required.
