    The Customer Service Representative ("CSR") performs customer service representative responsibilities of a complex nature that requires independent judgment and solid work experience for each function. They will maintain sound customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed, accuracy and professionalism, assist with projects from management, and oversee the servicing of customers requiring special handling. The CSR reports directly to the Director Client Services.

    Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

    • Create and maintain client account records. Regularly check for completeness and accuracy in all database systems

    • Prepare and review orders for accuracy per client contract.

    • Coordinate the scheduling of all aspects of client account execution.

    • Provide order management including order preparation, monitoring, scheduling and reviewing. Ensure that all required documents are properly maintained and available.

    • Assist Finance with collections when required.

    • Ensure accurate pricing and review orders for invoicing.

    • Prepare client profiles by gathering information and assign codes using basic knowledge of MSDS and hazardous waste coding and disposal requirements. Utilize SME to identify appropriate hazardous disposal requirements when needed.

    • Monitor and provide internal reports regarding client progress to all appropriate team members on an as needed basis.

    • Partner with internal BA teams to prepare customer facing reporting and presentations.

    • Provide clients with shipping and tracking reports, detail manifest and on-time delivery and pick-up reporting.

    • Gather data and information to prepare client presentations and other reports.

    • Respond in a timely and accurate manner to customer inquiries and process requests, according to established standards with attention to style, tone, and manner of communication, received through the phone system, email, web, or mail regarding inquiries on invoices, payments, and collections as outlined by the Director Client Services, positioning Clean Earth products and services to customers.

    • Support projects required for servicing customers and Clean Earth business.

    • Provide feedback to management on ways to increase efficiencies and the effectiveness of servicing customer's needs.

    • Perform necessary record keeping activities

    Basic Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • 1+ years of proven customer service support experience, preferably in a customer service or sales environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related sciences strongly preferred.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to analyze and resolve routine as well as complex problems and exceptions in order to complete final resolution processes.

    • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    • General knowledge of Credit Tools across all regions and markets.

    • Related work experience with waste characterization/waste handling, demonstrating familiarity with EPA/RCRA and DOT regulations.

    • Previous inbound/outbound call center experience.

    • Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

    • Experience administering service contracts.

    • Experience with web-based programs and proprietary online applications.

    • Preferred knowledge of ~~~ or familiarity with a related CRM system and practices.
