Data Center Operations Manager

Description

As a Junior Data Center Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our data center facility. This role requires a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, as well as proven leadership skills to effectively manage a team of operations staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data center operations and a track record of success in leading teams to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

• Oversee the daily operations of the data center, including monitoring systems performance, maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

• Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and processes to enhance data center operations.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.

• Perform regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including security and safety protocols.

• Participate in the planning and execution of data center expansions or relocations as required.

• 10+ years of experience in data center operations, with a strong understanding of data center infrastructure and best practices.

• Proven experience in a team lead or supervisory role, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data center operations, such as ISO 27001 and Uptime Institute Tier Standards.
