    Education / Training:

    Qualifications, Experience, Education:

    • Skill Level I - 1-2 years of related experience in Materials (i.e. Material handler, tool room); or

    Manufacturing / Logistics Experience;

    • Skill Level II - 2-5 years of Expediter experience;

    • Skill Level III - 5-7 years of Expediter experience.

    Preferred Skills

    • Prefer High School Education or GED;

    • Work around and operate mobile equipment;

    • Excellent organizational skills;

    • Strong attention to detail;

    Basic analytical skills;

    • Proficient with Microsoft products;

    • Deep expertise in end to end materials operations.

    Key Job Elements:

    Minimum duties and responsibilities

    • Pack orders and create shipments in system;

    • Prepare shipments and process orders based on vendor and customer routing guides;

    • Work with planners and customer service to ensure all freight is routed and shipped correctly;

    • Update and provide tracking in the shipment;

    • Prepare and print shipping labels and BOL's associated with shipping needs;

    • Arrange and schedule carrier pickup;

    • Communicate quickly and effectively to resolve issues;

    • Receive incoming materials and verifies receipt against shipping documents;

    • Transfers materials from receiving location to identified location in facility using mobile equipment, (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, etc.);

    • Enter material transfers into computer system;

    • Ensure required materials are staged in production area prior to shift starting;

    • Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas;

    • Maintain stocking levels of consumables & materials;

    • Properly label all required material;

    • Inventory reconciliation to include root cause analysis and corrective action implementation;

    • Provide detailed records and reports to end users and members of management;

    • Assist with cycle counts process;

    • Core management transactional responsibility;

    • Drive process improvement;

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Advanced duties and responsibilities

    • LN systems administrator including training other employees on the system;

    • Leads projects to improve on inventory control.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Strength -

    o Be able to lift 35 lbs., team lift 55 lbs. and push, pull up to 125 lbs.

    • Motion -

    o Constant standing and walking;

    o Frequent bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, climbing ladders;

    o Frequent work below waist level and above shoulder level;

    • Vision/Hearing Requirements -

    o High noise levels (above 85 decibels).

    • Work Environment -

    o Work on varied surfaces (concrete floors, gravel, rail car floors);

    o Work around and operate overhead cranes and mobile equipment.

    • Emotional Demands -

    o Must be able to work alone and in team setting.

    o Must be able to work full-time Monday - Friday work schedule.

    o Must be able to work overtime when deemed required.

    • Safety -

    o Position requires strict adherence to safety policies (i.e blue flag) and use of all PPE requirements such that include hand, head, eye, hand, ear and foot protection.
