Financial Accountant

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant with our publicly traded client, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role involves handling all aspects of full cycle accounting and requires intermediate skills in MS Excel, Reconciliations and Month End Close.

Everyday you will get to

• Handle all aspects of accounting within the local office with a well-tenured team.

• Manage full cycle accounting operations including A/P, A/R, and G/L reconciliations.

• Assist with the accurate completion of month-end close procedures.

• Utilize MS Excel and other relevant ERP packages (Oracle, MAS 90, MAS 200, or Timberline) for various accounting tasks.

• Occasionally work overtime as required to meet business needs.

Requirements

• 4-year accounting degree and at least solid accounting internship experience.

• Proficiency in MS Excel is essential for financial reporting and data analysis.

• Proven ability to learn the Month End Close processes, including reconciliations, adjustments, and financial statement preparation.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

• Relevant professional certifications or desire to pursue CPA strongly preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
