    The part time Flights Ops Support role provides subject matter expert support to key projects and needs inside of Delta Professional Services (DPS). This role works on an 'as needed' basis for the area assigned. Flight Ops Support Coordinators should have a basic understanding and knowledge of FAA Part 121 air carrier operations and moderate to expert knowledge of specific areas of focus. This position will report to the DPS Program Manager - Delta Flight Training.

    Duty Pilots work in the Operations and Customer Center (OCC). They are part of the Line Operations department of Flight Ops. The Duty Pilot desk is covered 24/7, 365 days a year by having 3 daily shifts; the Duty Pilot is scheduled to work approximately 10-14 shifts per month in the OCC. All Duty Pilot positions are located at the General Offices in Atlanta, GA.

    Shift Hours

    • Day: 0600-1430

    • Evening: 1430-2300

    • Night: 2300-0600

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS

    • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for pilots on operational issues

    • Provide support to pilots during safety related events, flights that require MCC input, or conflict resolution

    • Coordinate cross-divisionally in the OCC for operational issues

    • Connect pilots with CPO and other departments for problem resolution

    • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Previously a Delta Air Lines Pilot

    • Computer Programs: Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, DBMS, OSS

    • Excellent verbal and written skills.

    • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an attention to detail
