The General Ledger Staff Accountant I is responsible for preparing accurate, complete, and timely analysis by reconciling balance sheet accounts, supporting financial statement close processes, preparing corporate quarterly schedules, and assisting with audit schedules. Responsibilities

• Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly, identifying and resolving outstanding items within department deadlines.

• Recommend adjustments and research root causes of outstanding items.

• Interact with other departments to resolve reconciliation issues.

• Support monthly financial statement close by analyzing designated accounts and utilizing reporting tools.

• Prepare accurate corporate quarterly schedules and audit schedules.

• Resolve internal and external customer issues promptly.

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

• 1-2 years of experience in a large accounting environment, focusing on balance sheet reconciliations

• Knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Intermediate Excel (testing will be part of the interview process)

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work under supervision and independently

• Flexible and adaptable to changes in responsibilities and working conditions
