    Robert Half Finance has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Global Controller to join a well-respected services company. In this leadership position, you will direct an accounting and clerical department. The Global Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. Based in the Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania area, this opening for a Global Controller is a full-time position.

    How you will make an impact

    • Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations

    • Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

    • Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

    • Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required

    • Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

    • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

    • Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

    • Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

    • Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

    • Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis

    • Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

    Requirements

    • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

    • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

    • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

    • Solid understanding of Monthly Financial Statements

    • Experience with international experience

    • Experience with SEC Reporting

    • Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP

    • Practical knowledge of Controllership Functions

    • Earlier work involving Power BI

    • Previous experience working with SOX

    • Foundational knowledge in Monthly Financial Close

    • Background working with account analysis

    • Comprehension of Microsoft Office 365

    • Develop Recommendations experience highly preferred

    • Monthly Financial Reports experience preferred

    • Good understanding of workday

    • Year end closings experience highly valued

    • Adeptness in Sarbanes Oxley Control

    • General familiarity with Controllership

    • Monthly Financial Reporting experience

    • CPA/MBA preferred

    • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

    • Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

    • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

    • Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

    • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

    • Great attention to detail
