Hospital Medical Biller/Collections Specialist

Description

A Hospital Medical Center is in the need of a Medical Billing Collections Specialist to join its revenue cycle team. The Medical Billing Collections Specialist will pays a critical role in facilitating the insurance follow up and insurance denials management. The right person will be ensuring that claims are processed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies to secure reimbursement for eligible medical services.

Duties

• Review and process medical claims submitted by patients, healthcare providers, or billing departments.

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of claim documentation, including medical records and invoices.

• Monitor the progress of reimbursement claims and follow up with insurance companies, government agencies, or other payers to expedite the process.

• Resolve claim denials or rejections by providing additional information or appealing decisions when necessary.

• Familiar with HMO, PPO and Government Insurance
