  • Description Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting & HR Assistant to support accounting and human resources functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be proficient in financial reporting, and have a solid understanding of HR procedures. This role will involve assisting with month-end processing, financial statement preparation, inventory management, accounts payable processing, and a range of HR tasks including training schedules, worker's compensation, and payroll.

    Responsibilities: Assist the CFO/Controller in month-end closing processes. Prepare financial statements and reports accurately and in a timely manner. Manage inventories, equipment schedules, and licenses. Track insurance policies and assist with insurance-related tasks. Process accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate records. Coordinate HR functions including training schedules, disciplinary tracking, and procedures. Assist in managing worker's compensation claims and related documentation. Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation. Reconcile health insurance records and manage gratuities payable. Serve as the in-house IT resource for basic troubleshooting and support. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in accounting and/or HR roles. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Knowledge of HR procedures and regulations. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Experience with IT troubleshooting is a plus.
