    SML North America (NA) is a part of SML and has about 1,000 employees across the United States, Canada and Mexico. We operate the Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS as well as Regional Distribution Centers across the NA region.

    What will you do?

    The Hybrid Clerical position is a key position, in a small group work setting, that is vital for operations. This position is part of our United Automobile and Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) bargaining unit.

    Thisposition reports to the Distribution Center Manager and is located in Jacksonville, Florida.

    As a Hybrid Clerical, you will:

    • Focus primarily on quality control and analysis, as well as clerical duties.

    • Process Dealer returns, customer shortages, and missing or lost inventory due to carrier errors.

    • Responsible for the put-away of Dealer returns.

    • Participate in all Quality/Environmental Programs.

    • Participate in all company initiatives such as the Volvo Group Attitude Survey, Idea Generation and Lean processes.

    • Must be available to work any/flexible warehouse shift schedule (based on seniority etc.)

    Essential Functions

    Your primary role will be that of a Hybrid Clerical, with the following responsibilities:

    • Print and prepare dealer orders for processing.

    • Communicate with the dealer network regarding carrier changes.

    • Provide dealer network with assistance tracing lost shipments.

    • Process customer credits in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Report customer feedback to management, including any sign of customer dissatisfaction.

    • Assist with coordinating outbound deliveries.

    • Maintain Safety Data Sheet files for all parts and in-house products.

    • Participate in continuous improvement such as VPS and 5S programs.

    • Assist management with warehouse initiatives.

    • Provide coverage for the Hybrid clerical positions as needed.

    Who are you?

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

    • Prefer Associate Degree in Business Management or 1-year related experience.

    • 1+ year of related material handling experience or training preferred.

    • Prefer minimum two years secretarial/administrative office experience.

    • Knowledge of general office procedures and inventory control concepts.

    • Knowledge of Inbound, Outbound Material Control procedures.

    • Ability to carry out instructions according to established procedures.

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment striving towards operational. excellence guided by Volvo's Values and the Code of Conduct.

    • Ability to carry out instructions according to established procedures.

    Necessary Technical/Functional/Language Skills

    • As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively within a multi-cultural and international environment.

    • Knowledge of Warehouse Operating Systems, such as WMS.

    • Strong interpersonal skills.

    • Strong math, problem solving, research and analytical skills.

    • Ability to work independently.

    • Internally motivated and proactive.

    • Comfortable learning new technologies.

    • Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships.

    • Strong knowledge of PC applications required, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

    Physical Demands to be met with or without accommodation

    • Required to sit frequently, balance and crouch occasionally.

    • Ability to lift and move parts up to 60lbs.

    • Regularly required to reach with arms and hands.

    • Required to stand, walk and use hands to handle tools/controls.

    • Specific vision and hearing abilities required.
