Insurance Verification Rep I

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a candidate to fill an Insurance Verification role in a large heath system. This candidate needs strong experience with:

Verifying authorizations (office will obtain, SMH will verify)

Working through the payer portals to run patient benefits and determine out-of-pocket cost

Pre-register the patient for the surgical service they are receiving

Collect payment pre-service

This candidate needs to be comfortable in a high volume, high demand environment. This role will be in an business office setting and will not be patient facing.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience verifying insurance authorizations - ideally for a hospital (50+ authorizations/day)

Strong understanding of medical terminology

Strong understanding with large insurance payers and the payer portals (Navinet, Availity, etc.)

High School Diploma Knowledge of ICD-9/ ICD-10 and CPT coding

CHAA: Certified Health Access Association

Experience in a surgery center/surgical services modality null
