    Overview

    Our client, a dynamic manufacturing company located in Northern Bucks County, is seeking an experienced Inventory Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and reconciling inventory records, overseeing inventory through the sales process, updating and managing inventory spreadsheets, working closely with operations on inventory-related matters, generating and accounting for inventory-related invoicing, conducting physical inventory counts and analysis, reviewing general ledger accounts related to inventory, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and providing monthly and quarterly inventory reports to upper management. Additionally, the candidate will verify cash payments to suppliers and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Inventory Management

    Manage and reconcile all inventory records and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    Oversee inventory throughout the sales process, including tracking inventory levels, monitoring stock movements, and identifying discrepancies.

    Inventory Accounting

    Update and manage all inventory spreadsheets, including tracking costs, quantities, and valuations.

    Work closely with operations team to understand inventory needs, trends, and issues.

    Generate and account for all invoicing related to inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    Inventory Analysis and Reporting

    Conduct physical inventory counts and perform inventory analysis to identify variances and opportunities for improvement.

    Manage and review general ledger accounts related to inventory, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.

    Prepare and review monthly and quarterly inventory reports for upper management, highlighting key metrics and insights.

    Supplier and Vendor Payments

    Verify cash payments to all suppliers and vendors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.

    Maintain records of supplier and vendor payments for audit and reconciliation purposes.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related major required.

    3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

    Experience with M.S. Dynamics NAVision or similar ERP systems preferred.

    Strong intermediate Excel skills, including V-lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.

    Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing business needs.
