Junior Accountant

Description

Thriving real estate firm is looking to hire a Jr. Accountant to join their finance team. The Jr. Accountant will play a key role in assisting with various accounting tasks such as: processing accounts payable/receivable, perform account reconciliations, support the preparation of financial reports, prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts, assist with the annual auditing process, enter client invoices in appropriate database, and help to coordinate the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures. If you are a highly organized, critical thinking, entry level accountant looking to grow your accounting skills, this role may be perfect for you!

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze financial documentation

• Process client invoices

• Prepare balance sheets and income statements

• Assist with month end close activities

• Process accounts payable/receivable transactions

• Journal Entries

• Prepare financial reports

• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards

Requirements

The ideal Jr. Accountant will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration - NOT required.

Other requirements for the Jr. Accountant role include and are not limited to:

• 1+ years of accounting experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Intermediate Excel

• Blackbaud software preferred

• Excellent customer service skills

• Great communication skills
