    Do you enjoy helping customers get connected with resources? In M Health Fairview's Laboratory Solution Center. We have an opportunity for a Laboratory Solution Specialist (LSS) that will serve as the primary contact for customers and clients of the Fairview Laboratories. You will also be performing a variety of routine and problem-solving tasks to ensure that client needs are met, and that vital information is acquired to allow the laboratory to complete testing and billing functions promptly and efficiently.

    This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours/2 weeks), including Day/Evening shifts and rotating weekends and holidays . Initial training include day shift hours. Schedule may vary/change to meet the needs of the department. This opportunity is located at our Midway Corporate Campus in Saint Paul.

    Responsibilities Job Description

    Call Center:

    • Receives incoming phone calls

    • Represents the department in a positive manner on the telephone.

    • Provides timely, accurate resolution and results to customer and client requests.

    • Assists mobile phlebotomy team with accurate information needed to complete their work

    • Schedules courier services for specimen pickups for clients

    Ancillary tasks:

    • Understands big picture of laboratory to be able to problem solve efficiently.

    • Exhibit's ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, critically think and make decisions.

    • Receives payments for client accounts

    • Schedules patient appointments for limited clients

    • Registers patients and places orders in EPIC for laboratory procedures

    • Is proficient in Atlas

    • Functions efficiently in several computer programs simultaneously.

    • Performs routine office procedures such as maintains files, operates fax machines, communicates with customer to acquire billing information, sorts and distributes mail

    • Communicates with system lab staff and customers as needed.

    • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

    • Complies and promotes laboratory safety and infection control policies to ensure a safe work environment.

    • Reviews, follows, and understands established laboratory quality assurance and procedures.

    • Participates in the overall operations of the department.

    • Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.

    • Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned.

    Qualifications

    The qualified candidate will be a high school graduate (equivalent accepted) and have at least 1 year of customer service experience. Completion of CMA/MA is highly valued!
