  • Adecco is partnering with a small legal practice in Massapequa, NY 11758

    They are seeking a Legal Assistant, looking to gain experience and willing to be trained

    The role is onsite- Hours: M-F 9am-5pm OR 8am-4pm

    The client would like to have someone with experience in NY Workers Comp, Social Security/Disability experience

    This person will be speaking with this and insurance companies on beahalf of clients

    Pay $21-24/H R with a opportunity to conver Perm

    1. Administrative Support : Legal assistants manage office tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars for attorneys.

    2. Document Preparation : They draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements, under the supervision of attorneys.

    3. Research : Legal assistants conduct legal research using online databases, libraries, and other resources to gather information relevant to cases.

    4. Case Management : They assist in organizing case files, maintaining electronic and physical filing systems, and tracking deadlines and court dates.

    5. Client Interaction : Legal assistants communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases to gather information and provide updates on case progress.

    Pay Details: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
