    Robert Half has partnered with a local Omaha Logistics Company who is looking to add to their dynamic, family-oriented team. As a Logistics Specialist with an Administrative Focus, you will play a crucial role in supporting the logistical operations by providing efficient administrative and clerical support. This role is not designed for career advancement beyond the Logistics Specialist level. The primary emphasis is on maintaining accurate records, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations team.

    Responsibilities

    1. General Logistics Operation Support:

    2. Assist in various areas of logistics operations as needed.

    3. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient logistics processes.

    4. Data Entry and Record Keeping:

    5. Input and maintain accurate records of load information, dates, and revisions.

    6. Verify shipments and details on individual loads.

    7. Understand specific load or shipper requirements and address discrepancies promptly.

    8. Track and Trace Functions:

    9. Perform track and trace functions for transactional and or co-broker carriers to ensure on-time pickup and deliveries and provide updates to internal stakeholders.

    10. Verification and Validation:

    11. Verify shipments and details on individual loads, ensuring accuracy.

    12. Communication:

    13. Communicate with team members and external partners as required for administrative purposes.

    14. Paperwork Collection:

    15. Collect necessary paperwork from carriers upon completion of shipments.

    16. Invoicing Support:

    17. Assist in the preparation of invoices by providing accurate and complete paperwork to the billing department.

    18. Payment Processing Support:

    19. Facilitate the payment process by ensuring all required documentation is in order for timely and accurate payments to carriers.

    20. Issue Identification and Reporting:

    21. Identify and report any administrative issues that may impact logistics operations.

    22. Filing and Documentation:

    23. Perform general office duties, including filing and documentation.

    24. Collaboration:

    25. Collaborate with team members to contribute to the overall efficiency of logistics processes.

    26. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

    27. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

    Requirements

    5. Highly Organized: Possess strong organizational skills to prevent errors and maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced logistics setting.

    6. Paperwork Management: Ability to efficiently collect and organize paperwork

    7. Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using computer software and applications relevant to administrative tasks.

    8. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.

    9. Geographical Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of US and North American geography, including major cities, transportation hubs, key highways, and interstates.

    10. Flexibility and Adaptability: Adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected challenges with a flexible and adaptable mindset.

    11. High School Diploma or GED Required. Associate degree preferred.

    Preferred Skills

    1. General Familiarity with Logistics: A basic understanding of logistics or transportation processes, terminology, and industry practices.
