    The NBCUniversal Team is looking for a Manager of Editorial & Foley Operations that will oversee the group responsible for providing TV Broadcast Sound post services at NBCUniversal StudioPost. You will manage department staff consisting of sound supervisors, sound editors, assistant editors, as well as Foley mixers and a librarian. You will also oversee the day-to-day operation of the group responsible for broadcast series. You will also interact with customers on an as needed basis.

    What You'll Do:

    • Help manage a TV audio content creation department in support of NBCU's internal TV Post division as well as third party customer utilizing in our post offerings.

    • Manage Foley & Editorial staff.

    • Take part in and contribute to recurring staff meetings to review progress, deliverables, schedule shifts changes and potential new business.

    • Escalate project issues, manage expectations, and propose creative solutions.

    • Help formulate answers to technical and operational challenges.

    • Integrate and align with all peer organizations (TV Post, Engineering, BluWave Audio and TV Post - Picture).

    • Provide clear and actionable reporting and metrics on utilization and financial results.

    • Build effective, highly collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

    • Work closely with stakeholders to manage the client experience, understand and prioritize requirements with internal partners as well as third party clients.

    • Act as back up for StudioPost management team.

    What You Must Have

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Film and TV production and/ or operations, or related field.

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in post-production and pre-production

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience of sound and picture post-production processes, workflows, and technologies.

    • Experience developing existing relationships with Studio Executives, Post Supervisors, Editors, Directors, etc.

    • Demonstrate previous process improvement efforts.

    • Candidate must demonstrate change management skills and ability.

    • Demonstrable very strong understanding of new and emerging digital production and post-production technologies, new media platforms and evolving film and TV release formats and delivery requirements.

    • Ability to accurately message company and group technical direction to customers and talent.

    • Ability to motivate teams.

    • Ability to work flexible hours as needed for the operation.

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.

    • Strong ability to troubleshoot operational situations.

    Additional Requirements

    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three - four days per week.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
