Master Scheduler (Job Number: 209420W-01)
The Master Scheduler will be accountable for creating monthly and weekly production requirements and inventory plans that meet demand requirements from the DIBM Planning process for the Digital Printing business. Utilizes capacity analysis and customer service policies to govern schedules and finished product inventory plans. Responsible for creating and executing master scheduling time horizons and periods in accordance with business strategies and policies. In addition, this role provides input to the Asset Scheduler for detail scheduling at our Fort Madison site and creating the master plans for multiple plants including our Tuas site, in Singapore, and Jonco, our contract manufacturer for Textile Inks. Works with operations and unit managers, supervisors, material planners, schedulers and customer service. Responsible for continuous improvement of the master scheduling process and performance.
â€¢ Develops the weekly Master Production Schedule at the detailed level (disaggregate/SKU) by translating the DIBM monthly aggregate Production Plan for the MPS horizon considering all demand and requirements for production.
â€¢ Maintains and communicates a valid time-phased master schedule.
â€¢ Implement, execute, and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) policies to ensure stability and responsiveness.
â€¢ Maintains and provide valid Available to Promise (ATP) data.
â€¢ Identify and resolve conflicts with supply and demand and available capacity for the MPS horizon.
â€¢ Utilize "what if" simulations to evaluate proposed MPS changes to determine impact and execute the approved changes effectively.
â€¢ Recommend disposition of non-productive inventory as appropriate.
â€¢ Identifies options for optimization of MPS plans (cost, capacity, etc.)
â€¢ Participate with manufacturing and/or technology in the structure of Material Master/BOM's/recipes.
â€¢ Participate in the DIBM process and meetings as required.
â€¢ Key interface with sales, demand management, customer service, marketing, engineering and production for the purpose of satisfying customer requirements and providing policy advocacy to the business.
â€¢ Key interface back to Master Planner and Asset Scheduler when required.
â€¢ Responsible for key master production planning metrics, root cause and corrective action.
â€¢ Maintains accurate data to support the master scheduling process (e.g. lead times, lot sizes, product wheel, and other operating rules and conditions).
â€¢ Facilitate the weekly meetings with Asset Scheduler, Tuas site, and Jonco our contract manufacturer.
Â· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering
Â· 2-4 years of experience in supply chain or related field
Â· Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Â· APICS (CPIM) Certified in Production and Inventory Management preferred
Â· Familiar and competent in the use of SAP/APO preferred
Â· Demonstrated strength in planning and organizational skills
Â· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
