What to expect

The Material Handler performs a full range of duties including Shipping, Receiving, storage, cycle counts, and movement of materials to other departments and facilities. Products include Spares and Instrumentation and requires a sense of urgency for customer critical support. Performs general stock room activities, maintains warehouse cleanliness, performs transactions in our ERP system and ensures inventory counts are accurate.

The Material Handler will work in our Services Warehouse located in Otay Mesa, CA.

What we expect

• Perform daily receipts against company Purchase Orders/Transfer orders ensuring documentation is correct in ERP system

• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse

• Perform routine cycle counts

• Pull, stage, verify and compare identifying information and counts of outgoing shipments

• Assist in product returns as needed

• Responsible for data integrity for all in/out transactions including inventory counts and locations

• Operate all warehouse equipment; manual forklifts and electronic scales

• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Store quarantined material in designated locations

• Dispose of damaged or defective items or return to vendor

• Cross train with stockroom staff and performs other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience; experience in a shipper/receiver role desired

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic knowledge of ERP system; experience with Oracle preferred

Skills

• Good communication skills with ability to follow oral and written instructions

• Working knowledge of GMP requirements.

• General knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and stockroom function

• Organized, detail oriented with accurate data entry skills

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions

The annualized base salary range for this hourly role is $36,300 - $54,400 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
