Medicaid Billing

Description

An expanding company in the Lehigh Valley is looking for a skilled Medicaid Biller to add to their team. The Medicaid position is accountable for monitor claims and credit memos, issuing them to customers by all necessary means, and updating customer files. This position can get your career moving in the right direction!

• Gathers claims to submit via clearinghouse, direct data entry, paper, etc. in UB-04 facility claims.

• Monitors claims payment amounts to ensure accurate payment.

• Works claim rejections at the clearinghouse level and payer level, submit adjustments as needed.

• Composes and submits claim adjustments to Medicaid where applicable.

• Accepts & log cash receipts in accordance with cash posting process.

• Monitors accounts receivables aging list and follows up with payers in accordance with the Collections Policy, meeting or exceeding the days in AR department metric.

• Document all claims research and activity in the claims billing software.

• Verify MA Eligibility benefits in relation to claims processing (PA Promise).

Requirements

• Degree or some course work in Business Administration or related course of study preferred.

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions required.

• Experience in medical assistance billing.

• Experience in medical claims billing/coding, Experience with insurance follow up processes/procedures, Experience working for a medical insurance company.
