Medical Biling Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role will involve a variety of responsibilities within the healthcare industry, including managing front desk operations, handling patient documentation, and providing high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Checking patients in/out in a timely and efficient manner

• Scanning and filing patient documents accurately to maintain organized patient charts

• Providing basic customer service skills to ensure patient satisfaction

• Learning and adapting to healthcare industry practices, especially relating to insurance processes

• Scheduling appointments for patients and managing the appointment calendar

• Answering inbound calls and addressing patient inquiries professionally and promptly

• Developing a quick understanding of the role and its requirements to ensure seamless operations

• Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Requirements - Must possess expertise in the job function of Medical Billing Specialist

• Proficiency in scheduling appointments is required

• Ability to answer inbound calls efficiently and professionally

• Strong knowledge and understanding of medical billing and coding procedures

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations

• Proficient in using billing software and other relevant computer applications

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Medical Billing is a plus
