Medical Biller

Description

• Billers will be responsible for accurate billing for nursing homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and private pay statements.

• Billing 3rd party payers on-line (Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, and Medicare D plans)

• Monthly billing of nursing home invoices and private pay statements

• Re-bill accounts

• Phone calls

• Hospice account set-up

• Other tasks as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency

• 3-5 years of Medical Billing experience preferred (1+ year required)

• Excellent verbal and written communications, typing, computer, efficient, organization, attention to detail and follow-up, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, accuracy, and medical terminology

Work Environment

• On site - Office environment

• Shifts: M-F (8:30am-5pm and 9:30am-6pm)

• Overtime required during 1st week of each month when billing is surging (must be comfortable working 45-50 hours for that one week as needed)

• Team size of 7-8 people
