Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in the non-profit industry based in Clifton Springs, New York. The role involves detailed organization and a focus on maintaining accurate customer credit records and resolving credit inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Handle medical billing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data

• Work with the EHR System and IBM AS/400 for patient record management

• Use Medisoft for processing insurance claims and patient billing

• Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely payment of invoices

• Handle appeals in case of disputes with insurance providers

• Manage claim administration tasks, including filing, tracking, and ensuring claims are resolved

• Implement effective collection processes for delinquent payments

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Requirements - Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems.

• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) Systems.

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400.

• Knowledge of Medisoft.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Appeals processes.

• Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively.

• Knowledge of Claim Administration.

• Familiarity with Collection Processes.
