Medical Receptionist

Description

We are currently seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.

• Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar accurately.

• Verify patient information and insurance details.

• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Collect co-pays and payments from patients and issue receipts.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.

• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient needs are met effectively.

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and electronic medical records systems.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Compassionate attitude and genuine desire to help others.

• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
