    Job Summary :

    As an intern, you will gain exposure to a wide range of business opportunities. You will also acquire critical insight into our company and our industries, as well as have the chance to develop valuable networking connections, which will help prepare and develop your skills for future career opportunities.

    Under general supervision, performs standard and some advanced administrative and research duties, providing project support as needed and as directed by Akima's Technology Solutions and Products Group (TSPG) leadership and program team.

    NOTE : To be considered for this position, you must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in "NANA Regional Corporation, Inc." You must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational school.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assists with coordinating schedules and logistics for meetings (to include luncheons with clients and partners)

    • Performs general office duties as assigned by the supervisor

    • Applies initiative and independent decision-making skills to carry out ad hoc oral or written instructions

    • Performs task-oriented audits in support of group level quality certification (ISO 9001:2015) maintenance

    • Inputs data and make changes to existing data figures in digital databases

    • Assists Project Managers and/or Project Controls with reviewing and/or compiling financial reports, monthly progress reports, and travel authorizations

    • Performs basic research and provides reports on customers acquisition plans and budgets as well as on open-source competitive intelligence

    • Researches and provides information and editing for proposal submissions

    • Explores career types and opportunities at all levels throughout the organization

    • Learns to present and processes information using the Microsoft Office suite of tools

    • Regularly presents what was learned to the TSPG executive leadership team as an opportunity to demonstrate understanding, practice public speaking, ask questions, provide feedback, and make connections

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in "NANA Regional Corporation, Inc."

    • Must be currently enrolled in college or technical/vocational school

    Language Skills:

    • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    • Write routine reports and correspondence.

    • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

    Math skills:

    • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.

    Reasoning Abilities:

    • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

    • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior administrative experience Operating company administrative experience Excel, Costpoint, Quickbooks Experience

    • Applicant must be currently enrolled in an accounting or related degree seeking program.

    • The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times while displaying a professional disposition.

    • Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.

    • A valid Driver's license

    • At least 18 years of age High school graduate or GED

    • Must be a US Citizen or show proof of right to work in the US

    • Must be able to obtain airport badge with US Customs clearance

    • Able to read, write, speak and understand English

    • Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner

    • Extensive computer skills (familiarity with MS Word and Excel along with on-line banking software).

    • Must be able to operate calculators and PC keyboards by touch.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities to assure deadlines are met.

    • Results oriented with the ability to respond to the needs of the department and Company.

    • Sufficient reasoning abilities to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

    • It also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands:

    • General office environment; no special physical demands required.

    • Will require business travel to a project location to conduct the enhanced program management review.
