  • Job Description

    Successful candidates will employ safe searching principles in order toidentify and collect geospatial open source data. Collectors are responsible for quantifying the veracity of opensources data and providing context and insight about cultural topics and entities on which theycollect.

    Duties:

    (U) Collect, research, evaluate, and compile publicly available information (PAI) in accordance with established NGA policies and procedures, including current storage policies, OPSEC protocols, and Intelligence Oversight (10) Governance.

    (U) Produce and disseminate NGA Open Source reports and alerts in accordance with established SOPs.

    (U) Populate activities in assigned performance management system (Currently JIRA).

    (U) Support timely responses to intelligence priorities, requests for information (RFis) and other customer and mission needs. Tasks include:

    o (U) Regional/Target monitoring

    o (U) Language support

    o (U) Geolocating

    o (U) Data discovery and transfer

    o (U) Address coding

    (U) Contribute to the preparation of data release, analytical, observational, and technical reports and publications.

    (U) Assess open source media veracity utilizing splice detectors, hex editors, GAN detectors, etc.

    (U) Maintain proper file management in accordance with division standards.

    (U) Request and maintain access to security domain systems (SBU/NIPR, SecNet, NGANet).

    (U) Request, maintain access to, and utilize IC Open Source databases/portals (Tier 0).

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    BAE Systems OSINT Collectors are key participants in the analytic process, collectors provide detailed, hard to find information, to fill in gaps for key intelligence questions. Possessing the required skills is important to collecting the truly hard to find data.

    Required

    (U) 1-3 years of experience conducting Open Source collection or Open Source Analysis.

    (U) Experience with web browsing tools and advance searching techniques.

    (U) Course work or I year of experience building/using Power Point slides, Excel

    spreadsheets, Email, and One Note Notebooks.

    (U) Basic knowledge of how to conduct safe searches (OPSEC).

    (U) 1-3 year of demonstrated work experience directly engaging with IC

    partners/customers.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    (U) Foreign language capabilities (Reading, Writing, Listening}.

    (U) Knowledge of geospatial technologies (ArcGIS, GoogleEarth, [Spy).

    (U) Knowledge of DoD/lC databases and services.

    (U) Knowledge of Common Open Source databases and Services.

    (U) Familiarity with Social Media.

    (U) Familiarity with JIRA.

    (U) Knowledge of NGA, DoD, and IC missions.

    (U) Experience Geolocating images (Handheld photography, videos, etc.}.

    (U) Ability to remain flexible to changing priorities and requirements from supervisors and customers.

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $61820 - $105050

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
