    The Patient Access Specialist plays a critical role at BILH and Beverly Hospital as the first point of contact with our patients. Extensive training including Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) is provided. Our team works in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, helping our patients navigate their health care journey.

    Positions available for multiple shifts including days (part time and per diem), evenings and overnights. We have full and part time hours available with shift differentials available for evening, night and weekend day shifts.

    Job Description:

    Performs a variety of functions to support an accurate, safe and customer-focused patient access process. Ensures that all proper patient financial and demographic information is obtained and processed so BILH and Beverly Hospital is fully reimbursed for clinical services provided. Handles patient questions and requests accurately and efficiently, ideally with first call resolution, or by making appropriate referrals to other departments, based on the original purpose of the question and any other questions or requests subsequently disclosed by the patient. Ensures that the patient experience in accessing healthcare at BID Milton is efficient and welcoming, and that patient confidentiality is respected and patient safety is preserved.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education

    High school degree or equivalent

    Experience

    Prior experience in a business setting providing customer service, while simultaneously processing and verifying electronic demographic, financial or other business-related information and data.
