Payroll Clerk

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Clerk for a non-profit organization in East Orange, New Jersey. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for processing payroll, managing employee timesheets, and handling related human resources tasks. This role will be available on a contract-to-hire basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely compensation for staff.

• Utilize payroll software, to manage and streamline payroll operations.

• Act as a liaison between Human Resources and payroll, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries.

• Handle off-cycle payrolls, ensuring all employees are compensated accurately regardless of their payment schedules.

• Process payrolls for both salaried and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and local labor laws.

• Utilize excel to maintain payroll records and generate necessary reports.

• Leverage your skills in Full Cycle Payroll and Process Bi-weekly Payroll to enhance payroll operations.

• Regularly review employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness before processing payroll.

• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline the payroll process.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Full Cycle Payroll processing experience required

• Ability to use Payroll software effectively and efficiently

• Experience in processing Bi-weekly Payroll

• Must be able to handle and manage Employee Timesheets accurately and promptly

• Sound understanding of payroll regulations and compliance

• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
