Payroll Specialist

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our team in the service industry. Based in ELYRIA, Ohio, this role will primarily involve handling payroll and HR duties, with a focus on using software systems for uploading deductions, benefits, and 401K information. The position comes with the flexibility of remote working, with occasional visits to the office for paperwork handling and employee-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process payroll for approximately 130 employees on a weekly basis, including hours verification for temporary employees and agencies.

• Efficiently handle onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed.

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Paychex

• Manage the uploading of deductions, benefits, and 401K information onto Paychex software.

• Track deductions and garnishments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

• Assist in import reports from software systems into MS Excel, for effective data management.

• Provide support with benefits administration, assisting employees with any related queries or issues.

• Regularly monitor and update payroll records, ensuring they remain accurate and up-to-date.

• Work collaboratively with the HR team in providing administrative and clerical support as required.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee-related information.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Experience with Paychex

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is necessary.

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions is required.
