    As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and related activities within the organization. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and expertise in payroll systems and procedures. The Payroll Specialist ensures accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contracted workers.

    • Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

    • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions based on provided data.

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.

    • Prepare and submit payroll taxes, including withholding, unemployment, and other deductions.

    • Generate payroll reports for management review and financial analysis.

    • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.

    • Maintain accurate records of employee earnings, benefits, and deductions.

    • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.

    • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.

    • Previous experience in payroll processing or related role.

    • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, particularly Excel.

    • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, Fundamental Payroll Certification) preferred.
