Payroll Specialist

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization, supporting our efforts to compensate and retain our valued employees who are at the heart of our mission.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner

• Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations

• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in our payroll system

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and other required documentation

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters and provide excellent customer service

• Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance requirements

• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processes

• Stay informed about changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred

• 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or related role

• Experience with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto)

• Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
