Payroll Specialist

Description

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist for a 3-6 month contract position with our esteemed manufacturing company located near Maywood, NJ. The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll, with a keen focus on time card management. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide support in benefit administration.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time, utilizing timecard data and adhering to company policies and procedures.

• Verify accuracy of timecards, resolve discrepancies, and communicate effectively with employees and supervisors.

• Assist in benefit administration tasks, including enrollment, maintenance, and inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and benefits.

• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information.

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.

• Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of payroll and benefit regulations and compliance requirements.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
