  • This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.

    JOB SUMMARY

    This position is accountable for a defined patient population under the supervision of a licensed physician. Functions dependently in a staff position, implementing the role of expert practitioner, consultant, educator, and researcher within a specialized area of patient care. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed, pursuant to hospital needs.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Master's Degree

    Completion of a Physician Assistant Program

    Current California Physician Assistant license

    Current BLS, issued by AHA

    Furnishing number, State of California (w/in 1 year of employment)

    DEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications (within 1 year of employment)

    Medicare Billing number (NPI) Must obtain within 6 months of employment

    Certification: Physician Assistant, National Commission (w/in 1 year of employment)

    Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services

    Successfully completes the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Two years of clinical experience with emphasis in specialty area

    Experience in specialty area as a Physician Assistant

    Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills

    Bilingual Skills desired

    The expected hiring range for this position is $58.38 to $80.28
