    The Production Material Planner II is responsible for machine shop and systems assembly production planning.

    This position is part of the Materials Team and will report to the Planning Manager and will be located in our Deland Facility. This is an on-site position.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Utilize Commercial Input and System requirements to create manageable and efficient production plans.

    • Advocating and executing DMS (Danaher materials System) strategies at Gemba, with planning responsibilities that will drive production and other departments to meet on time delivery performance, reduce past due and optimize inventory.

    • Identification and troubleshooting of material inventory issues, shortages or excess by gathering and using data to problem-solving and implement countermeasures.

    • Work cross functionally with internal departments to ensure materials continuity, drive improvement, and lead other initiatives in order to drive maximizing our customer experience.

    The essential requirements of the job include

    • Bachelors degree preferably in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering with 2 years of experience, or Associates degree with 4 years of experience, or without a degree 6 years of experience- directly in a planning function.

    • Experience working in supply chain or logistics with various external and internal suppliers to ensured delivery or completion of materials priorities and expediting if needed.

    • Ability to read technical drawing/blueprint requirements to communicate internal and external departments.

    • Proficiency using Excel and ERP systems: SAP is a plus.

    • Solid working knowledge of supply chain management principles, including demand & supply forecasting, inventory management, and lot restrictions.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

    • Demonstrated experience in a planning role at a machine shop or using CNC setup wheel implantation.

    • Knowledge of lean six sigma and planning "best practices" including, but not limited to Supplier PULL Systems, Vendor Manage Inventory, Lean Daily Management, and lean improvement events.
