  • Eaton's B-Line division is currently seeking a Production Planner.

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $55125.0 - $80850.0 a year.

    What you'll do:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain a detailed master schedule, using MRP, manpower, plant capacity, tooling, and equipment

    • Responsible for the planning and procurement of all material components required to complete the job. Must ensure that sufficient material is available to support production, while not procuring excessive inventory that will be prone to obsolescence. Initiate and maintain contact with vendors for timely procurement of components and subassemblies

    • Analyzes and interprets pertinent inventory information and data, to determine current production status such as raw materials on hand, parts on order, parts in process, past usage, lead time required, etc. Monitors component and finished goods inventory levels. Corrects and reports variances to floor personnel, Supervisor, Plant Manager, and Supply Chain Manager. Anticipates and provides for future requirements and adjustments in scheduling as needed

    • Work directly with vendors on scheduling of outside processing

    • Determines detailed material requirements using bills of material, engineering drawings, and SAP generated reports, as source data, and initiates paperwork to internally manufacture parts to fill customer orders

    • Attends production meetings to ensure that the production plan and customer requests are fulfilled.

    • Maintain constant and effective two-way communication with all areas of production, engineering, quality, customer service, purchasing, and shipping

    • Manage inventory to achieve monthly plant financial targets and satisfy customer demands

    • Assign delivery dates based on customer requirements and process time, available capacities and availability of raw materials. Checks for missed shipments and adjust lead times

    • Print drawings and create job packets from SAP output for use by the floor as required. Ensure job packets are handled and released to the floor according to standard and policy

    • Works closely with Customer Service, Product Managers, and Sales Reps to expedite orders and meet customer expectations

    • Review MO closure reports to keep accurate records

    • Serves as a member of the salaried team and provides support as necessary to achieve local, division, and corporate initiatives and objectives

    • Establish and improve through put (lead-times) as plant-operating conditions dictate

    • Maintain all planning material master data in SAP, including lot sizes, safety stocks, material replenishment types, lead times in accordance with policy and procedure

    • Produces various weekly and monthly reports to provide vital information to management.

    • Coordinates reconfiguration and rework of existing inventory to meet new order requirements.

    • Assists in annual physical inventory and cycle counting processes and activities. Evaluate results of physical inventories and update all records and schedules affected

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree from accredited institution OR 1 year material planning/MRP experience

    • Strong communications and project management skills

    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

    • Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

    • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates living within a 50-mile radius of Pinckneyville, IL will be considered. Active-duty military members are exempt from this geographical limitation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • APICS CPIM/CSCP

    • 2+ years material management / material requirements planning/master production scheduling experience

    • LEAN implementation experience

    • SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning experience
