The Production Controller will lead daily performance reviews, collaborate with operational leadership to coordinate staffing moves, set short/long term production goals, and prioritize workload throughout the DC to guarantee on time customer order fulfillment and achieve of all key performance indicators. The Production Controller will also have responsibility for long range production and labor planning, new product integration planning, and future DC capacity modeling.WHAT YOU'LL DO+ Reports to Site Director+ Lead daily plant management performance review meetings.+ Communicate production updates to Managers on a regular basis.+ Lead the development and daily use of workload planning and staffing tools to drive labor efficiency.+ Assist managers in production activity decisions to meet business and financial objectives.+ Work with Managers to plan and coordinate production tasks to maximize performance to KPIs.+ Assist Managers in controlling production costs while maintaining the quality and safety standards.+ Review forecasted production plans to identify and report potential risks to Managers.+ Forecast and present long-range headcount needs to Operations Leaders based on upcoming demand plans+ Act as primary RDC point of contact for all new product integration and planned product launches. Participate in NPI planning meetings and coordinate timelines with RDC operational teams.+ Forecast upcoming storage and capacity constraints using inbound and outbound demand plans+ Work with cross-functional teams, internal and external to the DC, to ensure the DC is prepared to support the priorities and needs of the supply chain.+ Ensures Compliance to the Quality Management System and participate in Internal, ISO, and FDA audits.+ Work closely with Distribution Leadership to develop annual operating budget including operational productivity improvements and Continuous Improvement savings plans.+ Assist plant management in operations improvement activities by identifying financial and quality opportunities for continuous improvement.+ Supports the retention of a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback.+ Maintains a safe and professional work environment.+ Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.+ Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRINGRequired+ Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field+ 0-2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.+ Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel (preferred).+ Execution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.+ Proven experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement.+ Demonstrated ability to make value-added contributions in cross-functional project teams.+ Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.+ Self-motivated, strong analytical thinking capability, proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.+ Excellent internal and external customer focus+ Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.Preferred+ At least 3 years of experience in Supply Chain (strongly preferred) or a business-related field (e.g., Customer Care, Procurement, Operations, Production).+ SAP or other MRP experience strongly preferred.WHAT WE OFFERAt Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
