Project Accountant

Description

Specialized firm located within the Philadelphia Suburbs seeks a Project Accountant with solid cost/project accounting experience. This role will be responsible for generating project schedules, processing subcontractor billings, maintain supplier documentation, assist with change orders, prepare reports, provide billing structures, and investigate variances. This Project Accountant must have strong knowledge of construction related accounting software, solid communication skills, and excellent time management abilities.

Major Responsibilities

• Create and monitor project accounts

• Process subcontractor invoices

• Verify project budgets

• Provide profit analysis reports to management

• Compile monthly project reconciliations

• Handle renewal insurance certificates

• Update management on project status

• Project Analysis

• Assist with month/quarter-end process

• Ad hoc projects as requested

Requirements

The ideal Project Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the Project Accountant role include and are not limited to

• 3+ years of ideally Construction or Real Estate cost/project accounting experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

• SAGE Timberline a plus

• Excellent communication skills
