This position is responsible for purchasing raw material, planning the production schedule & controlling all materials that are used for the products that are made at Skincare by Marpac. These products include filling Deodorants, Balms & Oils into bottles/containers according to specific guidelines and instructions outlined by our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Package, stack and prepare units to ship.

Responsibilities and Duties-

• Purchasing raw materials for all products.

• Work with Operations to plan the production schedule.

• Help maintain FIFO modeling.

• Preform Cycle Counts.

• Organizing/Labeling Raw Materials, customer supplied materials, components, labels & unit cartons as required.

• Material destruction as required.

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent position in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves managing the procurement of raw materials and planning the production schedule for our skincare product range. The successful candidate will also be responsible for material labeling, organization, and destruction as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Procure raw materials for all products

• Collaborate with Operations to plan the production schedule

• Assist in maintaining FIFO (First In, First Out) modeling

• Perform Cycle Counts to maintain inventory accuracy

• Organize and label raw materials, customer-supplied materials, components, labels & unit cartons as required

• Manage material destruction as required

• Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for inventory management

• Use Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting

• Provide excellent customer service during the buying process

• Select components for production as per the guidelines

Skills

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of IBM AS/400

• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of About Time software

• Experience as a Buyer

• Familiarity with Buying Processes

• Knowledge of Component Selection

• Strong Customer Service skills

Requirements - Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and About Time software

• Experience in the role of a Buyer and knowledge of Buying Processes

• Proficient in Component Selection

• Exceptional Customer Service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field would be advantageous.
