  • Job SummaryMaintain same day systematic receipt and storage of AMRESCO and customer supplied goods; move or transfer materials between work areas, department, or buildings.MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)* Remove shipped material from delivery vehicles and move to designated storage area.* Count items received and check against packing list, recording any discrepancies.* Apply labels for lot or code number identification of materials and packaging.* Enter receiving information into computer system.* Complete and generate required documents, records, and reports.* Identify issues and problems and collect appropriate information and documentation from various departments, including Purchasing, Accounting, Customer Service, Quality Control, and the Production Control staff.* Use fork lift and hand skids as necessary and licensed to move and position equipment and materials; use care to lift and balance loads properly; operate equipment in a safe manner.* Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.* Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.* Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.* Performs other duties as assigned.ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)The work environment characteristics and physical effort described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The job requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.The associate is required to stand and walk for the majority of the working day. The physical requirements of the job are for associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull. Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 75 pounds with or without assistance. Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls.
