Robert Half has partnered with a company in the Kenner, Louisiana area seeking a Receptionist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, manage office supplies, handle inbound calls, and perform data entry tasks. This role is integral to ensuring our office operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Serve as the first point of contact for clients, answering phones, and directing calls appropriately
Order and maintain office supplies to ensure a well-stocked and organized workspace
Handle client inquiries professionally and promptly, ensuring all communication is handled with the utmost discretion and confidentiality
Perform data entry tasks, utilizing Microsoft Excel to ensure all client information is up-to-date and accurate
Manage inter-office mail, ensuring all correspondence is distributed to the appropriate parties in a timely manner
Utilize Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, email communication, and other office management tasks
Maintain a professional and organized front desk, contributing to a positive first impression for clients and visitors
Develop and maintain an efficient filing and document management system for easy retrieval of information
Perform additional receptionist duties as needed, demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
Experience in receptionist duties or a similar role is necessary
Proficiency in answering inbound calls in a professional manner
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook is a must
Strong data entry skills are required
Experience in handling inter-office mail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
High level of organization and attention to detail
A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
Flexibility to work in shifts if necessary
High school diploma or equivalent education level
Experience in a customer service role is desirable
Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines and printers
