This is a temp-to-perm position, must be motivated and willing to work in all areas of the warehouse as part of a team including shipping, receiving and order picking. Successful candidates will have prior shipping/receiving and picker/packer experience.Responsibilities:Shipping-Read pack slips and identify any special packaging instructions.-Determine appropriate package size needed.-Generate and apply purchase order labels.-Verify order accuracy.-Ship package via proper ship method per customer instructions.-Internally the Packer/Shipper will interact with warehouse employees as well as Customer Service employees.-Externally the Packer/Shipper may interact with customers at the will call area and drivers.Receiving-Receive shipment containers including LCL, UPS, and air shipments.-Inspect for shortages, damages, and delivery receipts.-Perform count and part verification.-Release the shipment for put-away and stocking then perform put-away activities.-Prepare shipments for Quality receiving-Ensure parts required to go to Acceptable Quality Limit/Level(AQL) inspection are received and sent to Quality appropriately.-Act as the back-up for Quality Receiving, performing quality receiving inspections as required by the AQL standard-Internally the Receiver will interact with Distribution Center employees and Quality employees.-Externally the Receiver will interact with drivers.Picker-Determine orders to be picked through the RF gun.-Check for picker notes denoting customer needs.-Verify picked pieces for order accuracy.-Review shortages and inaccuracies with inventory.-Resolve and report discrepancies to DC leadership-Identify and report inventory variances.-Perform duties in accordance with work instructions and processes identified in the Quality Management software and/or ISO.-May do cycle counts, task picking, DO distribution order picking, and other activities as needed.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:-Create batch and core documents.-Perform data entry as necessary.-Adhere to all ISO standards and participate in ISO audits.-Maintain all safety and 5S standards.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:HS Diploma or equivalentForklift and RF Scanner experience is preferred.Requires lifting up to 50 pounds.Solid verbal and written communication skills requiredExperience working with UPS, Fedex, and XPO preferred1 ??? 2 years prior experience in shipping within a distribution environment preferredAPPLY TODAY - TEXT OR CALL ~~~After phone screen all interviews will be conducted on-siteSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
