    JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Planner is responsible for the successful execution of planning strategy and processes throughout the entire finished goods value stream, including manufacturing, distribution, international orders, and new product development (NPD), using the Envista Materials System (EMS). They will be responsible for on time delivery (OTD), past due, and inventory dollars/turns for a portfolio of finished good parts and is expected to manage all aspects of the Plan for Every Part (PFEP). The Senior Planner will drive cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives across their scope of work and routinely use root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent their recurrence. The position will also support the integration of SAP and EMS.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Responsible for KPI targets for OTD, past due, inventory dollars, and inventory turns for finished goods.

    • Provide support in developing and driving the finished goods supply chain strategy.

    • Release and manage production work orders as needed in accordance with applicable planning tools (PFEP, min/max or Kanban calculator, etc.)

    • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to the company goals at the finished goods level.

    • Work cross functionally with purchasing, planning, manufacturing, distribution, and customer service to ensure timely movement of finished goods through the value stream.

    • Work closely with manufacturing to review production plans and operational capacity, and develop weekly schedules to facilitate level loading of production.

    • Work closely with purchasing and production planning to ensure finished good component materials are available at the right time in the right quantities.

    • Maintain accurate information for each part in their portfolio within the PFEP.

    • Conduct planning parameter/PFEP analysis at a regular cadence and update parameters as necessary using the applicable planning tools.

    • Maintain the integrity of the critical planning tools and processes in accordance with the Envista Materials System (EMS).

    • Actively drive problem solving for KPI misses and proactively use forecasting tools to predict potential issues.

    • Manage finished good inventory at Envista international distribution centers and work with commercial operations to fulfill international orders.

    • Champion the integration of SAP and the Envista Materials System in planning processes across Implant Direct.

    • Support NPD as a Supply Chain representative.

    Job Requirements:

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field is highly preferred;

    • 5+ years of professional planning experience; medical device, aerospace, or similar regulated industry experience is a plus

    • APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management a plus.

    • Intermediate ERP/MRP system usage skills are required in the areas of job orders, job order transactions, WIP and inventory; SAP highly preferred

    OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

    • Communicate clearly with staff, customers, and other key members in the company while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

    • Advanced working knowledge and ability to apply the principles of planning/pull system, MRP horizontal plan, AMU (average monthly use) and projected balance calculations.

    • Advanced understanding of lean manufacturing and JIT principles and how to apply them in the appropriate situations.

    • Good written, oral and presentation skills.

    • Good problem solving and business decision making skills.

    • Strong planning and organizational ability.

    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications: Excel, PowerPoint and Word

    Target Market Salary Range:

    Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
